Electrolysis

“‘Renew your body, renew your mind’…This quote came out of my philosophy behind what I do in all aspects of my business. Taking care of our bodies feeds our minds with a sense of being nurtured and values core emotions we need to experience to reach our fullest potential as human beings.

Electrolysis is far more than an aesthetic preference…it allows people to become free from, for some, what has been a lifetime of insecurity and self-consciousness by finally getting permanently rid of unwanted facial or body hair.”

—Elizabeth Feldman

What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis is the only FDA-approved method of PERMANENT hair removal. It is performed on practically any area of the skin where hair can grow; it works on all hair and skin types.

Electrolysis is a treatment in which individual hairs are removed permanently from the face or body. A machine called an epilator is used to destroy the hair's growth center with a short-wave radio frequency. A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle at the surface of the skin, the epilator is used, and the hair is gently removed.

How many treatments will I need?

Hair growth is the result of a combination of heredity and hormones. Other factors that may influence hair growth are pharmaceuticals, temporary hair removal methods, and sometimes illness. Since so many factors influence hair growth, sessions will vary from client to client. In most cases, clients will return for several visits, usually weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on the quantity of unwanted hair. Electrolysis is a very gradual process; however, once the hair follicle has been completely killed off, that hair will be gone permanently. Treatments vary in length from 15-60 minutes.
